Qatar is a nation filled with fascinating culture, incredible landscapes and remarkable architecture, is one of those places that needs to be seen to believe. Enjoy Doha, the capital city of the pensinsula nation.
Here are our top five recommendations:
• Souq Waqif: "The Satinding Market" this is probably the most famous attraction and a must if you will visit Doha. Go back in time and enjoy the place that conserves an authentic feel in reference to its commerce, architecture and culture. We recommend it on weekends!
• Museum of Islamic Art: The museum is home of the largest collection of Islamic art in the world from carpets, jewelry to astrolabes. It also has a very nice café and is a great spot to sit by the water overlooking the West Bay skyline.
• The Pearl: Nicknamed the “Arabian Riviera”, this man-made Island became the epitome of luxury, the yachts, high-end stores and villas in gated communities give you an interesting insight in how the upper class lives. It is also home to great restaurants and shops.
• Go On A Sand Dune Adventure: Have you dreamed about riding a camel and going on a desert safari? Well, this adventure experience is one of the best things you can do in Doha. Experience breathtaking scenery on a roller-coaster drive across the vast desert.
• Malls: Qatar is home to the world’s second and third largest malls after Dubai Mall. Mall of Qatar and Festival City Mall (with 600,000 square metres) are a shopper’s paradise!
